Bladder Expression Homecare Instructions
Your dog will likely need help urinating 3 to 4 times daily. Please take them to a place in the yard where they can comfortably urinate. Place them in a normal standing position and support their rear end. Make a closed fist with your dominant hand and a flattened palm with the other hand. Place your closed fist and flattened palm on each side of your dog’s belly just behind the ribs. Gradually bring your hands together with firm pressure. Hold this pressure for 1 minute to get your dog to start urinating and continue the pressure, gradually moving towards their pelvis, until the urinating has finished.
